Upcycling Forms the Basis of These Pieces of Art – Check Them Out at Wright Gallery

One of the premier design research institutions in the world, the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University offers an energetic environment for academic and professional success through a comprehensive catalog of prominently ranked graduate and undergraduate programs in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, construction science, land development, and visualization.

The Wright Gallery is dedicated to showcasing the visual arts with a commitment to honoring diversity in all its forms; providing a venue for emerging and established artists, architects and designers of local, regional, national and international acclaim; featuring works by women artists and artists from other underrepresented groups, artists whose works promote dialogue on topics of social and cultural importance, and artists whose work challenges conventional art practice; and serving as a center for campus and community visual arts engagement, education and enjoyment.

Now on display is a collection of paintings by Texas artist Tommy Fitzpatrick. The College of Architecture at Texas A&M University’s gallery has announced “Working Model,” which will run through October 15, 2019. See it during the exhibit’s opening days this Thursday, August 22nd!

Tommy Fitzpatrick’s work has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Dallas, Houston, New York, Madrid, London, Berlin, and Seoul. “Working Model” follows Fitzpatrick’s progression as an artist of more than 20 years, offering a rare opportunity to see the sculptures created from found materials, which form the basis for his paintings.

Admission to view Tommy Fitzpatrick’s “Working Model” is free. Don’t miss this opportunity to see lesser-known works by a local artist on Thursday, August 22nd!
