Watch History Unfold Before Your Eyes During a Fantastic Display of Military Might

Hear the rumble of historic tanks and boom of artillery at the Museum of the American G.I.’s History in Motion on Saturday, December 7th. Feel the ground shake as the tanks, vehicles, and artillery take to the arena in a fantastic display of historic military might!

At the Museum of the American G.I., you will see one of the finest collections of pristinely restored vehicles in the South! This action-packed day has fun activities for the entire family! There will demonstrations throughout the day. In between the demonstrations, you can see historic military vehicles up close and learn what it takes to crew them or take a ride in the back of a WWII 2 1/2 ton truck or Humvee.

Food vendors will be on-site to make sure no one goes hungry. All of the History in Motion activities will be outside, so wear comfortable clothing and shoes that are suitable for walking on dirt and grass. We recommend a hat and sunscreen, and potentially a rain jacket or umbrella if rain is in the forecast. Don’t forget your camera for pictures and extra spending money!

The Museum of the American G.I. strives to keep the living history of the American Servicemen who proudly served our country and continue to do so today. We proudly work to maintain and display historical uniforms and the equipment that has been used to keep our nation free. Our goal is to increase the public’s appreciation of the American Servicemen and women through educational programs, static and living history displays as well as historical re-enactments.

Gates for History In Motion will open at 10 a.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $ for children ages 5 to 11.
